Project Management Maturity Assessment
What is a Project Management (PM) Maturity Assessment?
As a typical starting point, Project Management Maturity Assessments are conducted in survey format with responses requested from various levels of management within your organization.
This survey identifies a grade, or score, for compliance with the approved ANSI standard for project management (i.e., the Project Management Body of Knowledge, PMBOK®) and with other recognized industry and company standards.
All facets of Project Management are covered in this survey, including scope, cost, schedule, risk, and quality.
Upon completion of the data collection phase, the information is reviewed, analyzed, and presented in the Project Management Maturity Assessment Final Report.
The Final Report provides a benchmark of where the organization ranks on a level of PM Maturity compared to recognized standards.
The report provides a foundation that includes:
- A numerical value (on a scale of 1 – 5) of where the organization currently ranks with regard to PM Maturity,
- A ranking of demonstrated strengths and weaknesses within the current organization,
- Recommended level of PM Maturity that should be targeted to meet your organization’s long-range goals in management of projects and corporate objectives,
- Identification of reasonable objectives, deliverables, milestones, and attainable performance results.
Development of the Final Report outlines what, if any, additional services can be provided.
