Microsoft Project Server 2010 Solution
adaQuest upgraded the client’s system to Microsoft® Project Server 2010, improved usability by replacing the current Project Client with a SharePoint-style solution and interface, and implemented user-requested features as well as new features captured during the requirements gathering phase of the project.
For a Fortune 500 client, adaQuest provided an end-to-end solution based around Project Server 2010. The solution was divided into three phases:
- Phase 1 - Requirements Gathering and Solution Engineering:
- adaQuest established a prototype system to gather project requirements in addition to previously defined user-requested features.
- adaQuest installed Project Server 2010 on the client's intranet, configured the server (hardware and software), created a prototype version of the system, and presented the prototype system to stakeholders to gather their feedback.
- Phase 2 – System Development:
- adaQuest validated and consolidated requirements, modified the design solution based on stakeholder feedback and approved requirements, tested the system against approved requirements and planned functionality, developed the new system, provided training on how to use the new system, and deployed the new system to all users.
- adaQuest implemented a tracking system to capture design recommendations, bug reports, and other inputs from users of the system.
- Phase 3 – System Maintenance:
- adaQuest managed all ongoing maintenance and update requirements as users interacted with the system.
EPM Live Solution
adaQuest partners with EPM Live to provide the EPM WorkEngine Application for Microsoft® SharePoint 2007. This solution includes configuration, installation, and training for a company’s set of users.
For a government client, adaQuest used a proprietary Quick Start “Plus” service solution that combines pre-configured, proven concepts for Enterprise Project Management with consideration for the business-specific needs of the client. This approach supported a deployment that allowed the client to meet their needs within a reasonable timeframe, and prepared the platform for additional teams to deploy team sites in the future.
The Quick Start “Plus” service solution included:
- A 4-level (Department, Division, Bureau, and Operational Staff) implementation that created 1 top-level and 2 mid-level rollup site collection points based on 3 build-to-order specifications
- A custom Work Space Template for the Operational Staff
The Quick Start “Plus” services also encompassed training for 40 additional users, post-sales consulting and technical support, and project management.
