(Updated) Microsoft Defender for Office 365: Email entity page public preview

Microsoft is introducing a new mail entity page, which is designed to provide a 360 degree view of an email during investigations.

When this will happen

The email entity page will be available in public preview the end of January.

How this will affect your organization

The new email entity page contains a 360-degree view of an email, eliminating the need to traverse multiple experiences to view email details necessary to an investigation.

The new email entity page contains information found on the current email details flyout in Threat Explorer. It adds information regarding authentication and detections; provides revamped email preview capability for cloud mailbox emails; and displays detonation details for related files or URLs.

The email entity page also marks one of our first steps in integrating Microsoft 365 experiences.

What you need to do to prepare

Your investigators will see a prompt to try the new page when they have accessed the email details flyout found in Threat Explorer.
